With Surrey's great regular season and the first two playoff rounds behind them, we look forward to the Coastal Conference Finals against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
Heading into the series, there are three players in the BCHL 2024 Playoffs scoring top 5. The Eagles have, #7 Micah Berger. The Bulldogs have, #10 Hayden Stavroff and #17 Grayson Badger.
The Eagles picked up Berger midway through the season and he has been a great acquisition, specifically in the postseason. His regular season stat line looks like (7, 18, 25) in 19 games played and this postseason he has (7, 9, 16) in 11 games. He has had a steady up tic in goals as he has the same amount as his regular season in 8 less games which has him ranked at the #1 spot for scoring in the playoffs so far.
Meanwhile over in Alberni, Badger and Stavroff are quietly putting up very solid stat lines. Badger postseason stats (6, 6, 12) in 11 games. Stavroff postseason stats (8, 6, 14) in 11 games. They are both key pieces in Alberni"s 2024 playoff run as well as their goalie Callum Tung who is putting up a 1.96 GAA.
